Rennie & Rose is pleased to have collaborated with the New York Historical Society to design and weave this exclusive Tiffany Peacock fabric.  The design is inspired by a Favrile Peacock Vase (circa 1900 -1906) in the New-York Historical collection. A leader of the Art Nouveau movement, Louis C. Tiffany and his designers used his invention of favrile glass to create mouth-blown vases infused with iridescent color.

Serving as inspiration for this handbag, the elegant vase in the museum’s collection rewards closer inspection with rich shades of turquoise and dark teal touched with lustrous green.  Extraordinary weaving and depth of color brings the essence of the vase to life.  Woven on jacquard looms exclusively for Rennie & Rose.
