LAKE GENEVA HOTEL BIRD FEEDERS
Bird Feeder design taken from Frank Lloyd Wright’s “Tulip” window designs that were found in the Lake Geneva Hotel in Wisconsin. The hotel was built in 1911 but was demolished in 1970 after a major fire.
Feeder has Terra Cotta stain. Made from Marine Grade Plywood, a very tough, stable material. FLW specified MGP – used in boatbuilding – for the cabinetry at Fallingwater which is located above a waterfall and can be a rather damp environment. The feeders are assembled using a quality exterior wood glue and stainless steel fasteners. The art glass “windows” are laser cut acrylic backed by clear polycarbonate to create the seed hopper. A 300lb test polyester hang cord is attached. H 8.5″ W 10″ D 7″
