The design on these double old-fashioned glasses is inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright’s abstraction of the tree of life symbol using a square for the roots, straight lines for the trunk and chevrons for the branches.  This design is found in several variations in art glass windows and doors throughtout the Darwin D. Martin House, Buffalo NY, 1903.
