In the spirit of Susan Lawrence Dana’s first holiday season in her Frank Lloyd Wright-designed home and in celebration of the 100th Anniversary of the Imperial Hotel (1923) the holiday decorations in the house will feature a Japanese theme this season. Ikebana floral arrangements will be displayed throughout the house. Decorating the Dana-Thomas House is a project of the Springfield Civic Garden Club.
On Wednesday and Friday evenings join us for a 30-45 minute guided experience to see this year’s holiday decorations. NEW for 2023: Festive Friday evenings will feature additional fun after your tour, including a fire pit in the courtyard, make-your-own s’mores, hot cocoa and take home crafts. Weather permitting, all Friday evening tours will include these extra activities. Evening tours, offered on hour and half hour 4-6:30 PM.
Holiday events are always very popular at the Dana-Thomas House, so reservations are strongly encouraged. Guests without reservations are welcome to stop by the front door to ask about tour availability; additional guests may be added at the door if the tour has not reached capacity.
