How often are tours given?
Tours are currently offered at 9:30 & 11 AM and 1:30 & 3 PM on Mondays and Tuesdays and 9:30, 10:30 & 11 AM and 1:30, 2, 3 & 4 PM Wednesday through Sunday. Reservations (217) 782-6776
What is the cost?
Donations are accepted.
How long does the tour last?
The walking tour lasts about 45 minutes.
Are photographs allowed?
Photographs may be taken outside only.
Do you have a gift shop?
The Sumac Shop, located across from the Dana-Thomas House at 302 E. Lawrence Avenue. The shop has a nice selection of books, gifts, reproductions and souvenirs. You can also shop online on this website.
Can purchases in the shop be shipped?
Most items for sale in our shop can be shipped, simply ask the staff to ship your purchases.
Is there parking at the site?
Parking is available at 4th and Lawrence and in the lot off of Cook Street just west of the 3rd Street railway. Parking is free of charge.
